Yes to Cucumbers Daily Gentle Cleanser

A few months back, as many of you may remember I went a little crazy with buying face wash.  I am slowly making my way through using up the products, as I use them up.  All of the purchases made at the time were specifically designed for sensitive skin.

I had picked this out since I had been hearing a great deal of positive things about Yes to Carrots.  This is made by the same company but is their line of products for sensitive skin (they also have Yes to Blueberries and Yes to Tomato).

I would rate this product a 7/10

My Skincare Routine: Night

Makeup Remover – I am currently Using Smashbox Cleansing oil.  This has been the first foray in cleansing oil, I switched because I was growing tired of the residue I felt like makeup removing wipes was leaving on my skin.  This is probably the most important step of my evening routine since it makes sure I get all my makeup off.

Eye Makeup Remover – I have been working on a bottle of Bliss Lid + lash wash for a good while now.  I only need a tiny bit of this, but feel a separate eye makeup remover is necessary.  I have very sensitive eyes (even plain water can bother them) and have as of yet had no problems with this eye makeup remover.

Honeybee Gardens Nail Polish RemoverI admit, when I first began using this product I was a bit nervous.  I am used to the acetone, and other chemical filled nail polish removers. I had also read reviews of some other all natural nail polish removers that they did not work so well.  I have used this for two weeks now and LOVE it.  This is likely to be the only polish remover I use from now on.  Not only do I use less of the remover but it takes less effort to get the polish off than the drug store stuff.  Oh yeah, it even works on Red nails.

Doo Gro Leave-in Growth TreatmentI started using this after i ran out of my bottle of Doo Gro stimulating growth oil.  This is lighter than that formulation, and light enough that I could use it in small amounts in my hair daily.  Those with thicker hair than me this would be a great leave in, however with my thin hair I instead use it as a leave in treatment once a week.  This can be found in the ethnic hair care section of your local beauty supply.

Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cleanser – I have only been using this for a little over a week, however I really like this product.  This product makes my skin feel similar to it does with other sensitive skin cleansers.  What really sold me on this product is the oatmeal and lemongrass scent.  While not a typical combination for a skin care scent, it makes the product extremely refreshing and comforting.

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant – This exfoliant does not have any scrubby beads or bits.  In fact this is ment to be used daily, however for those who find other scrubs made for sensitive skin (like St. Ives apricot Scrub) to abrasive this is a great option.

June 2011 Completion Critique

Fekkai Protein Rx Daily Protein Fortifier – I used this nightly to help add protein to my very fine and thin blonde hair.  I am not sure if it really made any difference, it smelled nice however was a bit ‘oily’ in comparison to other protein treatments I have previously used.

Aveda All Sensitive Cleanser – Left my skin feeling clean and did not create a tightening sensation.  This product has been discontinued however since it contained some ingredients that were known allergens.
