I wanted to share the routine I follow to maintain clear skin. Most of the substances I use are on the gentler side, since my skin philosophy is that many of us are abusing are skin, resulting in blemishes and acne. While these products may not work for you, I do hope this series of small reviews gives you some insite into why I use these various categories of products.
Morning Cleanser – While I am currently using the Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover for my morning wash, it is truly not my favorite (full review here). That being said, I do continue to use a cleanser in the morning. The purpose of this is not any major cleansing (hence something gentle) since I remove all of my makeup prior to bed time. This for me simply is a step that helps me wakeup and feel cleaner, since I occasionally drool in my sleep.
Tonner – I have been using the L’Occitane Almond Apple Tonning Cider for a bit over a month now (mini review here). There tends to be a great deal of discussion on if a toner is entirely necessary in your skin cleansing routine. I continue to use these products since they help to return the skin to its normal pH quickly (Since cleansing can strip the skin).

I apologize for being silent for the past week. Hurricane Irene knocked out the power for a few days. That combined with trying to finalize my school transfer and ensure I am in the proper classes for when school starts next week has been eating up my time. I promise I am back, and if I have to cut back on blogging during the school year I shall be sure to warn you first.
Essie Matte About You – I bought this a while ago when the whole ‘matte’ polish trend started. At the time I hated how the matte polish looked on me, which did make this a wasteful purchase. However, I have found that this looks great on top of sparkle or glitter polishes and makes them look almost like suede!
Ecru Knit Cotton Back Scrubber – This was purchased a few weeks ago from knitpiks on etsy. I had been looking for a great back scrubber, but most of what I found seemed more abrasive than I was willing to use (I do have psoriasis and as a result try to be gentle with my skin). This is easy to use (you don’t need to be a contortionists to actually get it to reach your back) and holds product nicely. It so far has been durable, my only suggestion is to stretch it back into proper shape before it dries (other wise it can be a little bit harder to use).

This was a pretty decent month as far as using up items. While the total number of items used up is pretty small, the items were full size. They were also items where you do not need to use a large amount of the product.
Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cleanser – I previously did a short introduction on this product (here) and my feelings about the product are the same. It is a nice basic cleanser, though may leave your skin feeling a bit tight. The scent is lovely, like a mix of oatmeal and lemon grass. I would gladly repurchase this product if i were not trying to eliminate chemicals form my beauty routine.
Kenra Curl Defining Creme – I loved the way this made my hair look. Nice full curls, like ones seen on the red carpet, without any heat. The smell was also intoxicating. The only down side was that the pump typically dispensed more product than needed which was a bit wasteful. I previously did a mini review of this product (here).
MOP Pear Detangler – I previously did an extensive review on this product (here). the feelings of love and ardour have begun to fade. While think the product works great, there are a larger proportion of potentially harmful chemicals in it than I like. I am still keeping it on my short list of replacement detanglers, for if I can not find something that works as well with out the harmful substances.
Honeybee Gardens Nail Polish Remover – I admit, when I first began using this product I was a bit nervous. I am used to the acetone, and other chemical filled nail polish removers. I had also read reviews of some other all natural nail polish removers that they did not work so well. I have used this for two weeks now and LOVE it. This is likely to be the only polish remover I use from now on. Not only do I use less of the remover but it takes less effort to get the polish off than the drug store stuff. Oh yeah, it even works on Red nails.
Doo Gro Leave-in Growth Treatment – I started using this after i ran out of my bottle of Doo Gro stimulating growth oil. This is lighter than that formulation, and light enough that I could use it in small amounts in my hair daily. Those with thicker hair than me this would be a great leave in, however with my thin hair I instead use it as a leave in treatment once a week. This can be found in the ethnic hair care section of your local beauty supply.

This product was recently discontinued by Korres. However, I decided to still put the review out. This is part of the issue when I try to test products for at least a month before putting out a review.
So, while you may not be able to purchase this product any more it may help you consider another korres eye product (or not consider). While they all will obviously work differently it is sometimes helpful to see some insight into a companies other products
I would rate this product a 6/10
